Roka Suite, one of a kind
Being the only suite of this type at our ryokan, we made it into a reality of what we think is the ultimate contemporary Japanese style. Not only for our domestic guests but also for our international guests to experience the simple and elegant beauty of Japanese culture, the room showcases a range of architectural elements made with the local resources of the Setouchi region, such as the Awaji earthen walls, the Tosa handmade paper and the Aji stepping stones. With a balanced sense that wooden fixtures and modern interior design create, the feel of the room is luxurious but light and tranquil. You will forget the passing of time looking out the floor-to-ceiling window that gives you a picture-framed-view of the island scenery recently restored by the community revival project. The Roka Suite is also perfect for holding business events and for entertaining special guests from overseas.

Open-air bath
We invite you to go out on the deck and feel the breeze that comes from the woods. There is nothing better to calm your mind than the silence of the wilderness.
Independent bedroom
The feel of the bedroom is Japanese. Having thought through how to make the room comfortable for all types of guests, we decided to offer them hybrid futon-beds. Cosy space and the gentle fragrance of the reed of the tatami mats will invite you to deep relaxation.
Creating a new trend and tradition
All the sliding doors in the guest suites are covered with Karakami handprinted paper by Kira Karacho, Kyoto, which was established in 1624. The design entitled Hikari no ame (Rain shine) was created in collaboration with the owner and graces one side. The other side has more traditional design patterns which are different in each room.
