[Exhibition Overview]
Our seventh featured artist, Kazuki Takakura, is an emerging contemporary artist who employs digital media such as video games, pixel art, VR, NFTs, and AI. Drawing from Buddhism and other Eastern philosophies, his work challenges the conventions of contemporary art, explores new values for digital data, and pursues an aesthetic of character variations.
In “12”, Takakura presents canvas works (digital paintings) inspired by the twelve zodiac animals. This series, also showcased at GINZA SIX, offers a unique worldview born from the fusion of Eastern thought and digital technology.
