Additionally, in the garden “Oborozukiyo,” Kazuki Takakura’s art piece “Hyper Shrine 6D (Deep Digital Dream Data Den Daitaisha)”, inspired by a Shinto shrine, is currently in its pre-opening phase.
At the center of the sculpture, which is modeled after the sacred stone worship of Iwakura and built with Aji stone, a Mino ware tile is embedded as an AR marker. By pointing a smartphone at it, viewers can see a virtual shrine appear before them.
Hyper Shrine 6D not only allows visitors to enshrine and worship their owned “Hyper Shrine” NFTs, but also offers a unique virtual ritual experience. By using digital data (images) or NFTs stored on their smartphones, visitors can virtually dedicate offerings to the AR shrine — an experience only possible on-site.
A ceremonial establishment ritual, “Data Noodle Festival” will be held on May 6 to mark the official opening.
The exhibition is open to all visitors, so if you find yourself in Naoshima, be sure to stop by!
