we enjoyed so much our stay. Food was beyond delicious, service impeccable, we loved the architecture ( keeping the spirit and essence of ryokan with a modern layout) and special mention to our 1st day driver ( he gave us very good recommendations) and to Mireille for all what she shared with us. We really enjoyed our stay at Roka! And would love to come back again, without hesitation. We personally really liked all the people working there, their kindness and attention, smiles and personalities. What caught our attention and is very welcoming is that everyone is coming from different Prefectures as well as countries. We enjoyed every conversation we had, even if very short! The food is amazing! Local, fresh, traditional yet very subtle! 10 out of 5. Also having natural wines in the list was a bliss for us! Perhaps someone could learn a bit more about the wines selected, or have a description available within the menu. But that is a tiny tiny detail. As for the room, it was very spacious and you can definitely see you have worked hard on improving based on received feedback. Hotels location is also very calm and nice.
